"Shoulders Of Giants" Badge.
To earn "Shoulders Of Giants" badge the applicant must take a lesson with ten different Stormer Music teachers and document the different teaching approaches, styles, influences, strengths and weaknesses of each lesson.
The purpose of this badge is to encourage our musicians to expand their learning and be empowered to draw from many influences and approaches.
Decide What To Learn
- Shortlist which instruments/styles you would like to learn. You can take lessons within your instrument or in new instruments.
- Remember to include a lesson with your current teacher and any replacement teachers you have in your time here.
- Discuss with our office team if you need some help here.
Take The Lessons
- Be fully ready to embrace the experience.
- Draw from your new teacher as much as possible and enjoy the experience of learning.
- Ask your teacher about how they teach and why.
- Take some notes after the lesson about how it went and what you learned.
Document The Journey
- Write a two paragraph summary of each of your lessons. Refer to your notes on what worked and didn't with a specific focus on how you were taught and how you were learning.
